WEAR AND TEAR

Launched in 2022 by JT McPartlin, Wear and Tear disrupts the fashion system's hyper-consumerism by exclusively upcycling second-hand garments. Through the art of deconstruction, old clothing is given new life and a fresh burst of energy. Why discard when something dynamic and unique can be created? With every use, Wear and Tear garments evolve and transform. Each wear and wash adds character, creating a tangible connection to the stories they carry. As holes form and grow, they become reminders of the memories embedded within. The more the garments are used, the more love and meaning they accumulate. Since its launch, Wear and Tear has become a popular trend in the vibrant New York nightlife scene. Each cut, rip, and tear adds to the ongoing evolution of these distinctive designs.

In a bold defiance of fashion's consumer-driven norms, Wear and Tear took center stage at KRATER. This avant-garde label, unwaveringly committed to sustainability, unveiled a striking collection of upcycled second-hand garments. Their mastery of deconstruction breathed new life into vintage fashion, leaving a lasting impact.

This wasn't just a runway; it was an artistic symphony, blending fashion, performance art, and live music, drawing inspiration from "Angels in America." Wear and Tear's garments transcend mere fabric; they evolve with every wear and wash, embodying stories and memories. Holes become poetic reminders of the past, enriching the fabric of life itself.
